Anonymous has always interested me and although I've been following them online for quite some time, this was my first in person encounter with them. Most people who witness a protest or a demonstration at least want to know why people are there. With Anonymous, people are there for all kinds of different reasons. Health care, war, taxes, gun rights, gun control, Wall Street, Obama, regulations... the list could go on forever.

Concerning the masks I’m of two minds. On one hand, I think they are a bit dramatic and almost silly, but on the other I definitely respect and understand the concept and goal of anonymity. The masks also garner a lot of attention which with demonstrations is a main concern. When I first arrived, I felt a little disappointed because the message was so all over the place, but after a while I started to get it. Just like myself, these are regular people who were there for one over-arching reason. We care and we think we can do better.
